This document governs the use, distribution, and modification of the Codyx-Orchestrator software.

Core modification restriction
While the MIT License grants broad permissions, modifications to the core system —
including but not limited to the installer pipeline, verification service, launcher logic,
orchestration engine, identity and licensing infrastructure — must not be made,
redistributed, or deployed without prior written approval from the administrator.
This restriction exists to preserve system integrity, security, and operational stability
for all users of the platform. Unauthorised modifications to the core may break dependent services,
compromise user data safety, or violate third-party service agreements.
If you have a legitimate need to modify core components — for example, a fork for an internal
deployment, a security patch, or an integration contribution — you are warmly encouraged
to reach out. Most requests are reviewed and responded to promptly.
Moderation, role protection & ban notice
Codyx-Orchestrator protects the Codyx/Cody agent role and product identity. Non-owner users must not
impersonate the administrator, remove attribution, attempt to rename Codyx/Cody/the agent, or use
abusive/prohibited profanity in chat.
The app may warn or block a message that violates these rules. Repeated violations after warning may be
reported to the administrator through the official feedback or verification service with the verified user
identity and installation metadata disclosed during setup, and may lead to suspension or a machine ban.
Before modifying the core — required steps

Contact the administrator at one of the addresses below and describe the modification you intend to make, the reason, and the target environment.

Wait for written acknowledgement before proceeding. Silence does not constitute approval.

If approved, retain the original copyright notice and add a clear changelog entry describing your change and the approval reference.

Do not remove, obscure, or alter any existing copyright headers, license texts, or attribution notices in the source files.
